Counterspace was formed in 2005 by partners Michael Worthington and Yasmin Khan as a small-scale collaborative studio with a mission to produce innovative and intelligent graphic design for cultural clients. Prior to forming Counterspace both partners had worked for cultural and corporate clients, independently and through other design companies. Counterspace firmly believes in designs’ role as both a cultural and commercial tool, and endeavors to mesh the practical and the innovative in all our design solutions. We have no “house-style”—each project is developed without a prefixed idea of its visual qualities—the formal resolution of each project is always specific to the content and context of that particular design problem and the client’s individual needs.

The work on this site was designed by Michael Worthington and Yasmin Khan, together or separately, design assistants and collaborators are noted in the captions.
